This is exactly what the area has needed since the closing of Pop's Drive-In! Even with a full dinning room and standing room only in the waiting area, we only had to wait ~10 minutes to be seated. If you want some good ole classic American food in a casual atmosphere, then this is your place. Breakfast and lunch only. The staff were all friendly, the service was timely, and the food was tasty. The 1950s retro decor helps create a happy, quirky vibe that adds to the experience. Don’t forget to snap a pic with Elvis while you’re here. As you can see, we were ahead of the lunch crowd. I plan accordingly.

So happy Shorty's opened their new location in Yorktown near Kroger. I have always loved their store in Williamsburg and now they are so much closer! Went in for breakfast later one morning last week and the place was packed but only waited a few minutes for a table. I ordered the corned beef hash with 3 eggs and biscuit and some biscuit gravy. Eggs were cooked perfectly and their biscuits are to die for! Food came in a reasonable time considering the packed restaurant. THE BEST PART ABOUT SHORTY'S IS THE SERVICE! My server was oh so friendly just sorry I did not get her name. Shorty's in Yorktown is just plain ole good food and service!
